Muthafukkin’ SIGNALBOOST!
voodooking: How to give proper credit to artists without knowing who they are. I appreciate reblogging the shit out of this if anybody wouldn’t mind. Sick of art going around and artists not getting proper credit at all.
bliss41: OH LOOK OOPS
oxboxer: Good tip! As silly as it seems, a lot of people don’t know/forget that Google can do this. But now you all know, so you can stop saying that you don’t remember where you found and image, or that a friend sent it to you! Besides, adding credits makes the original artist happy. :)
deantrippe:This is super useful info! Heck, I like to be credited, but more than that, I sometimes have trouble finding sources for stuff I’m posting. Problem solved.
artgantuan: I definitely appreciate getting properly credited so I can get the traffic. I’ve found some of my work by accident on other people’s pages without my name or info, or any way to lead back to me.
geekvariety: I’m glad people are finding new easy ways of doing this cause its something I’ve preached for ages now. Another great way, that granted doesn’t always work, but can get you in the right ballpark is TINEYE. TINEYE is a browser plugin for Chrome that lets you look up images and with a little effort you can come up with the information about the artist whose work is being shown without attribution. Great post everyone should pass along.
